 Site AnalysisEDM’s projects are multi-disciplinary to capture the breadth of knowledge within the firm. A site analysis would include a landscape architect, engineer, planner and environmental and development consultants. The scale of a property, its potential uses, surrounding development, its location and features - a stand of trees, for example, or steep ridges – are all examined during a site visit. Then the soil type, geology, vegetation, and the archeological record are analysed. Base mapping of a parcel identifies the contours, water, roads and other landmarks on the topography to give us a map that helps to identifiy how to best put development on the property that exploits the natural features of the land.
